Filipino Lumpia

  • Freestone Collective 8020 Railroad Avenue Snoqualmie, WA, 98065 United States (map)

Join Melissa from North Bend Art & Industry on Monday January 20th from 5:30-8PM to learn how she makes her family recipe of Lumpia, a Filipino version of a spring roll.

This recipe was created by my mom and I have put my own spin on it.  My version of lumpia is a mix of sauteed veggies and chicken wrapped in thin, delicate lumpia wrappers and deep-fried until golden and crispy.  It offers a satisfying crunch with a flavorful, savory filling. Perfect as a snack, appetizer, or side dish, vegetable lumpia is typically served with a tangy vinegar dipping sauce or sweet chili sauce, making it a versatile favorite in Filipino cuisine.

This is a hands-on class where we’ll make the filling using your knife skills to julienne and fine dice some veggies. Peel the wrappers, roll the lumpia, and make the dipping sauce.  You’ll go home with your own stash of lumpia to fry up right away or freeze.

The traditional wrapper can be substituted with rice paper wrappers for a gluten free option and can be made vegetarian omitting the chicken.  Please note these options at the time of registration.

Class includes small bites with beer or wine available for purchase. Also, $5 from every registration will be donated to support North Bend Art & Industry!

Class size is limited to 10 people and geared towards adults.
